- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 12 slices white bread, crust removed
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. whole milk
- 6 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients and stir over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves.

2Bring to boil.

3Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan and coat pan bottom evenly with the mixture.

4Then arrange 6 slices of bread in a single layer on top of the caramel layer, trimming bread to fit.

5Cover with remaining bread.

6Whisk the rest of the ingredients and pour over the bread.

7Cover and chill overnight.

8Bake, uncovered, at 350°

9for 40 minutes or until bread is puffed and light golden brown.

10Let stand for 5 minutes. Invert portions or the entire pan on serving plate.

11Garnish with fruit.
