  • 12 slices bread, trimmed and buttered
  • 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 c. cooked chicken, chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 small jar pimientos, chopped
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped (optional)

Directions

    Place 6 slices of bread in a buttered pan.

    Spread the cheese over the bread.

    Add a layer of chicken.

    Top with remaining bread slices, butter sided down.

    Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper.

    Pour over the bread.

    Cover tightly and let stand in refrigerator overnight.
