- 1/2 lb. saltines
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 lb. oysters, shelled
- salt and pepper, to taste
- milk
Directions

1Crush saltines to coarse meal.

2Spread a 1/2-inch layer of saltines in 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

3Layer oysters and dots of butter with layers of crackers.

4Add salt and pepper to each layer to your taste.

5Fill to within 1-inch of top of casserole dish. Add milk to just cover cracker layer on top.

6Finish with a couple dots of butter.

7Bake in 325° oven for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown and crusty.
