Oyster Corn Bread Dressing

  • 8 to 10 c. coarsely crumbled corn bread
  • 2 slices white bread, toasted and torn in pieces
  • 2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
  • 2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cans whole oysters, drained
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 5 to 6 c. turkey or chicken broth

Directions

    Chop oysters and combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in enough broth until mixture is very moist.

    Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish (or pan).

    Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Makes 12 to 15 servings.
