Oyster Stuffed Squash

  • 4 small acorn squash
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onions
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans small oysters, drained
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 qt. 1/2-inch soft bread cubes
  • 1/3 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 c. French dressing
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Place squash cut sides down into 2 tablespoons butter.

    Cover; bake 30 minutes at 350°.

    Remove from oven; turn squash over. Saute onion, celery and oysters until tender; add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, French dressing and soft bread, 1/2 cup in each squash.

    Top with cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
