- 4 cup rigatoni pasta(uncooked)
- 1/2 kg ground beef
- 1 tbsp garlic,minced
- 1/2 cup bell pepper,chopped
- 1 can sausage,sliced or cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup tomato paste/sauce
- 1 can whole tomatoes,peeled
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions

1Cook pasta as directed on package and drain.

2Meanwhile,saute onion and garlic in large nonstick skillet until caramelized.

3Add ground beef and cook on medium heat until evenly browned.

4(reduce oil if necessary

5Add 1/2 cup of water,sugar,sausage,bell pepper and tomatoes, cover and cook (15-20 minutes) stirring occasionally.

6Add tomato paste or tomato sauce.

7cover & simmer (5-10 minutes)

8Add pasta and parsley.

9Mix lightly on very low heat.

10(20-30 seconds.)

11Turn the heat off.Serve and top with cheese
