Ingredients

  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • apricot preserves or jam
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix all ingredients (not preserves) together.

    Press 3/4 of mixture into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.

    Spread about 3/4 of the apricot preserves or jam over dough.

    Roll out remaining dough and cut into strips.
  5. 5
    Place in a crisscross design over top of the preserves.
  6. 6
    Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Cool and cut into 2-inch squares.
