  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. milk

    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together.

    Cut in butter with a pastry blender.

    Add egg and milk.

    Blend thoroughly.

    Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.

    Roll to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with biscuit cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet and brush with melted butter. Bake at 450° for about 7 minutes.
