- 1 lb. chicken livers, cooked
- 1 onion
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 3/4 c. applesauce
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 4 slices cooked bacon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. cognac
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/3 c. butter
Directions

1Put melted butter in blender; add peeled onion.

2Chop.

3Cook together the remaining ingredients (except eggs, bacon and applesauce).

4Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Mix applesauce, bacon and eggs with butter mixture in blender, then add cooked liver mixture to blender.

5Blend together and remove to a serving dish and chill.

6Garnish with olives, parsley or your favorite garnish.
