- 4 egg whites
- 1 tsp. cornflour/cornstarch
- 1 tsp. vanilla essence
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. water
- 3/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Beat egg whites until very stiff.

2Add half the sugar.

3Beat well, then add the rest and beat well again.

4Fold in the vanilla and vinegar.

5Fold in cornflour and baking powder, then add the water.

6Keep folding.

7Place mixture on flat, greased tray.

8It is best to have a sheet of greaseproof paper between the mixture and the tray.

9Set oven to 350°, then turn down to 300° when you have put the pavlova into the oven.

10Cook for 40 to 50 minutes.
