Pea Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. frozen peas
  • 1/2 c. water chestnuts (may use slivered, toasted almonds)
  • 4 cans mushroom soup
  • 1 (4 oz.) jar pimentos
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • potato chips, crushed

Directions

    Cook and drain the peas.

    Add water chestnuts, mushroom soup and pimentos, chopped fine.

    Saute celery, onions and green pepper in oleo.

    Add this mixture to the pea mixture.

    Pour into two greased casserole dishes.

    Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350°.

    Put crushed potato chips on top and heat.
