- 1 lb. yellow or green dry peas
- 3 qt. water
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 lb. salt pork or ham bone
- pinch of garlic salt
- 1 to 2 carrots, cut small
Directions

1Bring peas to a boil with salt pork.

2Add onion, garlic salt and carrots.

3Simmer 2 to 3 hours, until peas are completely disintegrated.

4Salt and pepper to taste.

5Remove salt pork.
