- 4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1Mix peaches, sugar and salt.

4Put in a large, heavy pan.

5Boil rapidly, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.

6As mixture becomes thick, reduce heat to reduce splattering.

7Add spices and continue to cook until butter is thick to flake off spoon or approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
