- 9 canned peach halves
- 1 c. all-purpose sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease 9-inch square pan.

3Arrange peach halves on bottom.

4Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

5Cream butter and lemon extract until soft.

6Add sugar gradually until creamy.

7Stir in eggs, one at a time.

8Mix in dry ingredients until smooth and spoon batter over peaches. Sprinkle top of batter with mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

9Bake for 35 minutes.
