- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. drained fruit
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Melt butter and put in deep dish (1 1/2 to 2-quart).

3Mix flour, sugar and 1/2 cup of milk; beat until smooth.

4Add rest of milk.

5Pour batter over butter; don't mix! Place fruit in center of batter.

6Cook 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.

7Serve warm.
