- 1/2 bushel firm small peaches (press type)
- 12 lb. sugar
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 1 qt. water
- 2 dozen whole cloves
- 6 or 8 cinnamon sticks, broken
Directions

1Peel peaches.

2Boil sugar, vinegar, water and spices until a moderately thick syrup.

3Add peaches, about a dozen at a time. Boil until tender enough to stick with a straw to the seed.

4Stir occasionally.

5Fill jars with peaches.

6Continue until all peaches are cooked.

7Fill jars with syrup and seal.
