Peach Trifle Recipe

  • 1 pkg. instant Jello vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 2 lbs. fresh or possibly canned peaches
  • 3 tbsp. sugar (if using fresh peaches)
  • 1 lb. cake loaf
  • 1/3 c. sherry
  • 2 tbsp. 10X sugar
  • 1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds

Directions

    Prepare pudding and set aside.

    Prepare peaches (and sugar, if using fresh).

    Slice into small bowl.

    In large bowl place layer of cake.

    Sprinkle generously with sherry.

    Make layer of peaches.

    Put part of pudding over peaches.

    Repeat.

    Whip cream with powdered sugar.

    Mound over dessert.

    Sprinkle with almonds.

    May be refrigerated for several hrs.
