- 5 medium apples
- 4 peaches
- 12 cup water
- 14 teaspoon cinnamon
- 18 teaspoon ginger
- brown sugar
Directions

1Peel and core apples and cut into chunks.

2Peel and core peaches, and cut into chunks.

3Combine apples, peaches, water, cinnamon, and ginger in a medium saucepan, and place pan over medium heat.

4Cook just until liquid begins to boil, about 5 minutes.

5Reduce heat to low, stir and simmer fruit until soft, adding more water if necessary, for about 10 minutes for a chunky consistency or 15 minutes for a softer consistency.

6Stir in sugar to taste-the amount will depend on the variety and sweetness of the apple-and cook briefly to dissolve the sugar.

7Mash or blend to desired consistency.

8Cool and serve warm or refrigerate.
