  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

    Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, nutmeg and salt.

    Add to creamed mixture with buttermilk.

    Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13 baking dish at 375° for 25 minutes.
