- 1 (29 oz.) can sliced peaches, drained
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sliced almonds
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Drain peaches and set aside.

3Cream butter or margarine and sugar until fluffy; beat in egg and extract.

4Thoroughly mix flour, baking powder and salt.

5Beat into creamed mixture.

6Spread dough into a greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Arrange peach slices on top of dough; sprinkle with almonds.

7Bake 1 hour or until golden brown.
