- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white Karo
- 1 c. water
- 1 stick oleo
- 3 c. raw peanuts
- 5 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cook sugar, Karo and water together in very heavy skillet or Dutch oven on top of stove until it spins threads.

2(Pick up spoon and let it run slowly out into hot syrup.

3Watch for threads.)

4Or if using candy thermometer, cook to hard crack stage.

5Add oleo and raw peanuts.

6When candy turns color of peanut hulls it is ready. Remove from heat and quickly add vanilla and soda.

7Stir and pour into greased cookie sheet.

8Spread as thin as possible using 2 greased forks pulling it to the edges of pan.

9Cool.

10Break into pieces.
