Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 1 pt. water
  • Spanish peanuts (raw)
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Boil sugar, syrup and water to 240° or until it hardens in cold water.

    Add peanuts and butter; boil until peanuts are brown. Remove from heat.

    Add soda dissolved in vanilla.

    Stir well and pour on slab and spread.
