- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 c. white Karo
- 1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar, syrup, salt and water. Mix well.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.

3Cook to 285°, stirring frequently.

4Add peanuts and continue cooking until thermometer reaches 295°.

5Remove from heat.

6Add vanilla and soda.

7Mix well.

8Work fast.

9Pour into 2 greased pans.

10Spread quickly as thin as possible for extra brittleness.
