  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. chopped peanuts
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • butter

Directions

    Put sugar into heavy iron skillet and heat slowly, stirring constantly, just until sugar is melted and turns a light brown (300° plus).

    Butter baking pan or cookie sheet.

    Spread peanuts over surface, sprinkle with salt, then warm tin slightly.

    Pour melted sugar over peanuts.

    When cool, break into pieces and store in tightly covered container.
