- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 to 4 c. raw peanuts
- 1 Tbsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Grease a large cookie sheet with butter.

2Cook sugar, syrup and water until a soft ball forms (236°).

3Add peanuts and cook until amber colored (294°).

4Remove from stove and add vanilla and soda.

5Stir for 30 to 45 seconds, briskly.

6Pour onto cookie sheet and spread out quickly to about 1 peanut thickness.

7Once cooled, run a flat knife under it to loosen and turn onto a brown paper bag.

8Wipe excess grease from surface.

9When completely cooled, break into pieces.
