Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. unsalted peanuts or cashews
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Cook corn syrup, sugar and water to 238°.

    Add butter and peanuts.

    Cook to 300° or hard crack stage.

    Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda.
  5. 5
    Stir until foamy and pour quickly onto a buttered cookie sheet.

    Break when cool.
