- 1 c. peanuts, roasted
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Line a jelly roll pan with aluminum foil.

2Butter foil and set aside.

3Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy, 2-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring gently until sugar dissolves.

4Cover and cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes to wash down sugar crystals from the sides of the pan.

5Uncover and cook to hard crack stage on candy thermometer.

6Stir in butter, vanilla and soda.

7Pour mixture onto buttered foil, spreading thinly.

8Let cool and break into pieces.

9Yields 3/4 pound.
