  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Karo syrup
  • 2 c. peanuts, shelled (uncooked)
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Place sugar, Karo and peanuts in a 2 1/2-quart heavy pan. Cook on high heat, stirring constantly until hard crack (300°) or until syrup turns light amber.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in soda, beating rapidly until well mixed (about 10 seconds).

    Pour onto a lightly oiled cookie sheet.

    Do not spread or break.

    Let cool. Break into pieces, then call me.
