  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 lb. Spanish peanuts (round, with red skins on)
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Boil sugar, water and corn syrup to 242°, or until syrup spins a 6 to 8-inch thread.

    Add butter and peanuts; cook slowly to 300°, stirring occasionally.
