- 3 c. sugar
- 8 oz. corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp. soda
- paraffin (size of silver dollar)
- 1 qt. shelled peanuts
Directions

1Spread sugar in pan and cover with enough water to dissolve sugar, stirring constantly. Add paraffin. Continue to stir and cook until mixture ropes from spoon.

2Add peanuts and cook until peanuts are parched (peanuts will crack or pop when starting to parch).

3Remove from fire and stir in soda (makes mixture foam). Quickly spread mixture very thin on greased pan.

4Keep mixture loosened from pan with spatula until it is cold.

5When cold, break candy into small pieces. This makes a large quantity.
