Peanut Butter Cereal Candy

   Mix cereal and peanuts; set aside.

   Combine sugar and syrup in heavy pot; cook on medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a full rolling boil.

   Remove from heat.

   Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.

   Immediately pour syrup over cereal mixture, stirring gently to coat.

   Pat evenly into buttered pan. Cool.

   Cut into 2-inch bars.
