- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. peanut butter
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup, milk and salt in saucepan.

2Bring to boil.

3Cover and let boil for one minute to allow steam to wash down crystals that cling to sides of pan.

4Uncover pan and cook, using candy thermometer to 236° or soft ball stage.

5Remove from heat and add butter.

6Cool to lukewarm.

7Add vanilla and peanut butter and beat until candy begins to thicken and lose its high gloss.

8Turn into 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan (buttered) and cut.
