Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) pie crust or graham cracker crust
- 1/3 c. peanut butter
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until mixture is mealy and set aside.

2Mix egg yolks and set aside.

3In a saucepan, combine flour, sugar and salt, then gradually add milk.

4Cook over low heat, stirring frequently until thickened.

5Pour half of the hot filling slowly over the beaten egg yolks.

6Return all to pan and cook for 2 or 3 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. Cool and add butter and vanilla.

7Sprinkle half of peanut butter mixture on crust evenly.

8Pour custard on top and sprinkle remaining half of peanut butter mixture on the custard.

9Top with meringue.
