  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. salted peanuts, coarsely ground

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs.

    Mix dry ingredients (including peanuts).

    Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.

    Bake at 350° to 375° in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Frost with fluffy white frosting topped with chopped nuts (I use Spanish peanuts).
