Peanut Chocolate Dessert

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. finely chopped nuts (dry roasted peanuts)
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 c. peanut butter
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 12 oz. Cool Whip
  • 3 3/4 oz. vanilla instant pudding
  • 4 1/2 oz. chocolate instant pudding
  • 2 3/4 c. milk
  • Hershey chocolate bar, shaved

Directions

    Cut butter into flour until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir peanuts into flour mixture.

    Press into 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

    Cool completely.

    Combine cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar.

    Spread over crust and chill.

    Combine puddings and milk, beating 2 minutes at medium speed.

    Spread over cream cheese layer.

    Spread Cool Whip over pudding.

    Sprinkle with shaved chocolate bar and chopped peanuts. Refrigerate.
