  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped raisins
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. margarine or butter
  • 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder, dissolved in 1 1/2 tsp. hot water

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the flour over fruit and nuts.

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Beat eggs well and add to creamed mixture.

    Stir in remaining flour, cinnamon, salt and dissolved baking soda.

    Lastly, fold in raisins and nuts.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheets.

    Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
