- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 oz. baking chocolate, cut up
- 2 tbsp. butter
- regular margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup salted peanuts, chopped
Directions

1Combine milk, corn syrup, sugar and chocolate in a heavy 2-quart saucepan.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved.

3Continue cooking over medium heat until the candy reaches the soft ballstage (236F) on the candy thermometer.

4Stir occasionally to preventsticking.

5Remove from heat and add butter.

6Cool to 110F without stirring, then add the vanilla.

7Beat until fudge begins to lose its shine.

8Stir in the peanuts and quickly pour into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.

9Cut into squares when candy is completely cooled.
