- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 c. peanuts or pecans
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Mix sugar, syrup and water in heavy pan.

2When it starts to boil, add margarine and stir often after it reaches 230°.

3Add nuts at 280° and stir constantly until mixture reaches hard crack stage (305°).

4Remove from heat; add soda and stir.

5Pour into 1 large pan or 2 medium pans and spread to cool.

6When cool, turn over and break into pieces.

7Store in airtight container.
