- 2 c. raw skinned peanuts
- 2 liters chicken broth seasoned with salt, cumin and garlic
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 large potatoes, cut up (raw)
- 4 carrots, chopped
- 1/4 c. rice, uncooked
- 1 c. pear (fresh or frozen)
- parsley
Directions

1Grind the peanuts in a blender.

2With a little oil, saute the peanuts in a skillet, but not until brown.

3Put the peanuts, broth, onion, potatoes and carrots in a large pot.

4Boil for 30 minutes. Add rice and peas and cook for 15 minutes more.

5Serve hot with crushed parsley and French fried potatoes on top.

6Serves 8.
