- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 1/2 cups chopped unpeeled pears (1-2)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs

- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°F; grease bottom of loaf pan.

2Mix all ingredients, except topping, in a large bowl.

3Pour into loaf pan. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top.

4Bake 55-65 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean cool 10 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely, 1 hour.
