- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. grated lemon
- 5 c. sliced pears
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Combine sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon and lemon rind in mixing bowl.

2Prepare pears.

3Arrange in layers in 9-inch pastry shell. Sprinkle sugar mixture over each layer.

4Dot with butter. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

5Put crust over top with slits to release steam.

6Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes, until pears are tender.
