- 2 lb. pears
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. water
- 1 lemon, sliced
Directions

1Add 1/2 sugar to water and boil 2 minutes.

2Add pears and boil 15 minutes.

3Add remaining sugar and lemon.

4Cook until fruit is tender and clear.

5Let stand several hours.

6Strain.

7Pack cold fruit into hot jars.

8Boil syrup until thick as honey.

9Pour hot syrup over pears.

10Seal.
