Pears In White Wine

- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups white wine
- 5 cm cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 4 pears, firm, peeled, cored and sliced
Directions

1Placve water, wine, cinnamon stick & both sugars into a saucepan.

2Stir over low heat until the sugar dissolves, then bring to the boil, and add the pears. Cover and simmer until the pears are tender (approc 5 minutes).

3Chill well before serving and serve with a little of the sauce spooned over the top.
