Pecan Chocolate Pound Cake

- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Combine butter and shortening, mixing well.

2Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Combine flour and cocoa.

5Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition.

6(I beat the tar out of it!)

7Pour batter into a well-greased 10-inch tube pan. Sprinkle and mash pecans down into batter.

8Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325° or until cake tests done.

9Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove from pan and let cake cool completely.
