  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 12 oz. Cool Whip
  • 2 c. crushed Ritz crackers

Directions

    Whip egg white until foamy.

    Add cream of tartar; whip until stiff, but not dry.

    Whip in sugar in small quantities at a time. Fold in crackers, nuts, vanilla and salt.

    Bake in ungreased 9 x 13-inch dish at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool and add whip topping.

    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
