  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • few grains salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. pecan meats

Directions

    Combine syrup, sugar and butter in pan and heat to boiling. Beat the eggs and salt until light.

    Gradually pour hot syrup over eggs; beat constantly.

    Add vanilla and blend.

    Pour in pie shell and sprinkle pecan meats over top and bake at 375° for 40 minutes.
