- 1 1/2 c. Log Cabin syrup
- 1/2 c. (1/2 stick) Spread Sticks (Parkay)
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves or chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked pastry shell (9-inch)
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Bring syrup, spread and sugar to boil in 2-quart saucepan.

3Boil gently, uncovered, 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Cool slightly.

5Place pecans in pastry shell.

6Beat eggs, vanilla and salt in large bowl.

7Gradually stir in cooled syrup mixture.

8Pour over pecans in pastry shell.

9Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.

10Cool on wire rack.

11Makes 8 servings.
