  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo
  • 3 eggs
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • chopped pecans (to fill bottom of shell)

Directions

    Melt butter in small pot; cook until medium brown.

    Add sugar and Karo and cook until thick; cool.

    Beat eggs and add salt and vanilla.

    Add to mixture.

    Place chopped pecans in unbaked pie shell.

    Pour mixture over pecans.

    Bake 30 to 35 minutes in 350° oven for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 325° and bake 30 minutes more.
