- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. dark Karo syrup
- 4 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. pecans, chopped
- pinch of salt
- 1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
Directions

1Beat eggs slightly.

2Thoroughly mix in other ingredients. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

3Bake at 450° for 5 minutes.

4Reduce heat to 350° until pie shell is slightly brown.

5Reduce heat to 300° and finish baking.

6Bake pie approximately 40 minutes or so, until center is firm.

7Cool before serving.
