  • 1 (9-inch) pastry crust
  • 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. corn syrup
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. pecan halves

    Heat oven to 375°.

    Prepare pastry.

    In large bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla; beat well.

    Stir in margarine and pecans.

    Pour into pastry lined pie pan.

    Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes, or until center of pie is puffed and golden brown.

    Cool.

    Serve plain or with whipped cream.
